Why did my old menu QR code stop working?

It was a dynamic code: it pointed to the QR company's server, which redirected to your menu — until your trial ended and they turned the redirect off. It's the industry's standard trap; the biggest provider has 9,000+ one-star reviews about it. Full explanation here.

Can I update my menu without reprinting codes?

Yes — encode a URL you control (like yourrestaurant.com/menu) and edit that page freely. Same flexibility the subscription companies sell, without the hostage situation.

How big should a table QR code be?

Minimum 2×2 cm (0.8 in) for arm's-length scanning; 3–4 cm is comfortable. For window or wall menus scanned from farther away, go bigger — roughly distance ÷ 10.
